A 22-year-old woman who was being treated for acne with sulfa antibiotics was sent to my office by her primary-care physician. After two months of therapy, she had developed numerous red papules on the distal extremities, some of which had the appearance of target lesions with concentric rings surrounding a dusky center. The lesions were only mildly symptomatic with minimal itch. She had no systemic symptoms, and a review of systems was negative.
