Image of the Week: An unusual case of small bowel obstruction

This 31-year-old man presented with features consistent with a small bowel obstruction. He underwent surgical exploration, during which a Meckel diverticulum was found and believed to be the culprit. Shortly following surgery, the patient vomited a roundworm, ascaris lumbricoides, and his small bowel obstruction was attributed to ascariasis.
