This 23-year-old male was diagnosed with vanishing bone disease, a rare condition in which cancellous bone is replaced with new vascular structures and fibrous tissue, increasing the risk of fracture. This patient continues to experience severe pain, an uncommon symptom in vanishing bone syndrome. What other diagnoses come to mind?
