Indications for MAXIDEX:
Initially 1–2 drops hourly, then prolong dosing interval to 4–6 times daily as condition improves.
Fungal, mycobacterial, or viral (except herpes zoster) infections of the eye.
Corneal or scleral thinning. Glaucoma. Monitor for secondary infections and intraocular pressure in prolonged use. Avoid abrupt cessation. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers.
Local irritation, increased intraocular pressure, cataracts, corneal perforations, optic nerve damage; may mask or exacerbate infections, delay wound healing.
