Cough/cold medications linked to infant deaths

The CDC issued a report describing the deaths of three infants <12 months of age for which cough and cold medications were determined by medical examiners to be the underlying cause of death. Clinicians are advised to use caution when prescribing and caregivers to use caution when administering cough and cold medications to infants <2 years of age. For more information visit
