Sneaky tonsil swab

There is an easy way to hit the tonsils with a swab every time you need a culture. Have patients close their eyes. When they do so, go straight for those tonsils. If they see you coming they will pull the tongue back. — Cecelia Clarke, NP-C, Smithfield, Va. (150-12)
