The following people are regular contributors to The Waiting Room.

Robyn Carlisle, MSN, CNM, WHNP, works as a full-scope midwife at University Doctors and Kennedy University Hospital in Sewell, N.J. A graduate of University of Miami and University of Pennsylvania, her areas of interest include adolescent medicine, women's health and natural childbirth. Robyn is married with two sons and enjoys running and travel in what little spare time she can find.



Julee B. Waldrop, DNP, FNP, PNP, has over 20 years experience as an NP and has been teaching students to become NPs for 17 years. She is currently the Director of the MSN-DNP Program, an associate professor at the University of Central Florida and provides health care to children at a local community health center.

Julee's research interests include new moms and babies. She also is a big believer in the power of physical activity, and training for triathlons is part of her daily life. Leigh Montejo, RN, FNP-BC, received her Master's degree in Nursing from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and her Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in Health Sciences.

Leigh is a National Public Health Service Corp scholar who will complete her service commitment as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Washington, NC, at the Agape Clinic, which is part of the Metropolitan Community Health services. Her areas of interest include health promotion and improving healthcare access to the under-served.



Sharon O'Brien, MPAS, PA-C, works with Presbyterian Sleep Health in Charlotte, N.C. She received a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College of Health Sciences in New York and a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.

As a physician assistant practicing sleep medicine, her main interest is helping patients understand the importance of sleep hygiene and the impact of sleep on health. Sharon also has experience in rheumatology and pain.



William B. Mosher, PA-C, practices at the University of Michigan Health Service in Ann Arbor. His areas of interest include in-patient medicine, private practice medical administration, emergency medicine and interventional neuroradiology. He also serves as an advisor to the university's Pre-Physician Assistant Club.


Joe Kopcha, Editor, joined Clinical Advisor as an associate editor in 2001 and was named editor in 2008. Prior to that, he was a copy editor for Wave Action (a surfing magazine in Irvine, California), ran the college marketing program at MCA Records, and worked on the communications staff at the American Plastics Council. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.



Jenny Chung, PharmD, received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. Following graduation in 2005, she worked as a retail pharmacist before becoming an editor for the Monthly Prescribing Reference. After working as a medical volunteer in Zimbabwe and Haiti, Jenny decided to pursue a career in nursing. In June of 2010, she enrolled in the Columbia University School of Nursing. Her goal is to become a neonatal nurse practitioner.



Lisa Stern, APRN, works as a nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. A graduate of Harvard College and the Yale School of Nursing, Lisa's main interests are women's health, nutrition & wellness and medical history. Her current writing projects include a paper on Florence Nightingale and a book about contraception.




Mary Clohesy-Pizzingrillo, ANP-BC is a geriatric nurse practitioner at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, N.Y. She also regularly writes health promotion articles for the 50 Plus Lifestyles newspaper.


Tammie Clark-Heller, RN, BSN, CLNC, is a certified and independent practicing legal nurse consultant in the areas of medical and legal malpractice, personal injury, will probate, products liability and toxic tort. A graduate of Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pa., Tammie's nursing experience encompasses clinical areas including medical/surgical, ophthalmic (operating room and office practice), subacute rehabilitation, long-term care and home care. She has also served as an educator, a program administrator, a government state review auditor for long-term care facilities, a case manager and a guest lecturer. She currently runs and operates Tammie Clark-Heller Nurse Consulting, LLC, in Lehigh Valley, Pa.
