Nonsexual trichomoniasis transmission
Trichomonas vaginalis (yellow) is a protozoan pathogen of the genital tract.

We know that Trichomonas organisms do not survive for any length of time in the absence of a wet, warm environment. Consequently, any nonsexual transmission would have to be from a well-timed contact with something like soiled underwear, swimwear, etc.
