Patients often complain they have a difficult time completely removing the adhesive from ECG pads. If there is a great deal of hair under the area, this process can be painful as well. Using a paper towel, apply a small amount of fingernail polish remover to the area and gently rub. This method completely and painlessly removes the adhesive.— Stephanie Bartleson, RN, Morristown, N.J. (166-5)
