Getting patients to perform stretching exercises for minor rehabilitation was a problem until I came up with the 30-30-30-30 plan. This routine involved stretching for 30 seconds every 30 minutes, 30 times a day, for 30 days. I tell the patient to think of it as a reminder to stretch every time the clock is on the hour or half-hour. — Terrence Morehouse, PA-C, Schertz, Tex. (158-14)
