Antipsychotic medications with lower prescribing doses (e.g., haloperidol [Haldol], aripiprazole [Abilify]) are more likely to cause extrapyramidal symptoms; medications with higher prescribing doses (e.g., quetiapine [Seroquel], clozapine [Clozaril]) typically cause weight gain and sedation.
