The patient was an elderly Caucasian man who came to the clinic with complaints of a red, intensely itchy rash on his elbows (Figure 1), buttocks (Figure 2), and back. His symptoms began with a slight burning sensation, followed by the appearance of an itchy bumpy rash. Accompanying the rash were small blisters that occasionally drained clear fluid. He reported no other symptoms but said he had experienced a rash similar to this before in the same general areas.
