Program Description:

From Dermatologic Look-Alikes and Dermatology Clinic in the April 2014 issue of The Clinical Advisor. It consists of 3 cases:

1. Excoriations on extensor surfaces
2. Hyperpigmented patches on the back
3. Yellow scalp patches with mild scaling

Statement of Need: Undertraining in dermatology for primary-care providers is a common phenomenon. Thus, primary-care providers need additional educational outlets devoted to identifying and treating dermatologic conditions. For clinicians out of training, CME/CE becomes the most accessible route.

Target Audience: This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of primary-care clinicians who treat patients with various dermatologic conditions.

• To distinguish and properly treat dermatologic conditions with similar presentations.
• To identify and diagnose dermatologic conditions and review up-to-date treatment.
