Do you have any information on how Lycium barbarum can lower blood sugars?

Lycium barbarum (wolfberry) has a large component of complex chain polysaccharides. These molecules are the “complex carbohydrates” clinicians try to steer patients toward for metabolic stabilization. Because complex carbohydrates are digested slowly, they have a stabilizing effect on blood sugars. In some instances, this could result in a lowering of overall levels. I discussed wolfberry in the September 2008 issue of The Clinical Advisor.
