BOSTON – Kim Zuber, PA-C, received the PAragon Outstanding PA award at the American Academy of Physician Assistants IMPACT 2014 meeting for her work treating underinsured nephrology patients amidst a nationwide shortage of nephrology specialists.

Zuber oversees patients at seven dialysis centers throughout Maryland and Virginia.

“These are extremely complicated patients and they can’t be seen in 10 minutes, 15 minutes. They’ve got a list of on average 15 medications and five diagnoses, and that’s the uncomplicated patients,” Zuber said.
