This patient is from Syria and has familial Mediterranean fever (FMF)—a hereditary autoinflammatory disorder characterized by episodic fevers and serosal inflammation—primarily affecting individuals of Mediterranean descent. The diagnosis is typically made clinically and supported by a family history, ethnicity, and genetic testing. FMF can be managed with colchicine.
